The exquisite Mallarmé songs show Ravel at his most experimental, exploring the modernist sound world of Stravinsky and Schoenberg. Then, music by Ravel's teacher, Gabriel Fauré: his elegiac trio, composed in 1923. Julius Eastman, the iconoclastic American composer and pianist, has been rediscovered in recent years as a minimalist pioneer. "Gay Guerilla" is one of his most significant works, revealing a fascinating and powerful musical voice.

by The Board Room Game Cafe
Blood on the Clocktower is a bluffing game enjoyed by players on opposing teams of Good and Evil, hosted by Game Boss Peter! “In the quiet village of Ravenswood Bluff, a demon walks amongst you…” Join Game Boss Peter as Storyteller for this spooky mystery game! During a hellish thunderstorm, on the stroke of midnight, there echoes a bone-chilling scream. The townsfolk rush to investigate and find the town storyteller murdered, their body impaled on the hands of the clocktower, blood dripping onto the cobblestones below. A Demon is on the loose, murdering by night and disguised in human form by day. Some have scraps of information. Others have abilities that fight the evil or protect the innocent. But the Demon and its evil minions are spreading lies to confuse and breed suspicion. Will the good townsfolk put the puzzle together in time to execute the true demon and save themselves? Or will evil overrun this once peaceful village? Blood on the Clocktower is a bluffing game enjoyed by 5 to 15 players on opposing teams of Good and Evil, overseen by a Storyteller player who conducts the action and makes crucial decisions. The OBGMs at EVERYSEEKER
by The Seahorse Tavern
The OBGMs are a Black-fronted punk band from Toronto, Canada, and one of the most electrifying live acts in modern rock. Known for their explosive performances and fearless energy, they’ve become a defining force in the new wave of punk — loud, anthemic, and unapologetically themselves. Their album Sorry, It’s Over , a brutally honest reflection on therapy, heartbreak, and self-growth, earned The OBGMs their second Polaris Music Prize Short List nomination , cementing their place among Canada’s most vital voices. The record turns personal struggle into stadium-sized catharsis — every scream, riff, and lyric a step toward closure. Fronted by Densil “Denz” McFarlane , alongside Colanthony “Cola” Humphrey , Simon Outhit , and Joseph Brosnan , the band channels chaos into clarity, standing shoulder to shoulder with artists like Turnstile, IDLES, and PUP while carving out a sound that’s distinctly their own.

Blood on the Clocktower Teach ‘n Play
by The Board Room Game Cafe
Blood on the Clocktower is a bluffing game enjoyed by players on opposing teams of Good and Evil, hosted by Game Boss Andrey! “In the quiet village of Ravenswood Bluff, a demon walks amongst you…” Join Andrey as Storyteller for this spooky mystery game! The goal of the game is to successfully deduce and execute the demons b

Or will evil overrun this once peaceful village? Blood on the Clocktower is a bluffing game enjoyed by 5 to 15 players on opposing teams of Good and Evil, overseen by a Storyteller player who conducts the action and makes crucial decisions. The goal of the game is to successfully deduce and execute the demons b

Mat Hughes at The Lillian Piercey Concert Hall
by Mat Hughes
It’s been a mixed bag – some cabbage and carrots. Coleslaw Summer, the first single from Mat Hughes’ upcoming debut album, stays true to Mat’s signature energetic, piano-driven arrangements and witty, existential lyrics. Written shortly after returning to Halifax from his cross-Canada ‘Dump Run Tour’ in 2025, Coleslaw Summer wrestles with the futility of creating art at a time when everything seems to be falling apart. Watch Mat perform this tune and many others with his full band at the Lilian Piercey Concert Hall (in the Maritime Conservatory on Chebucto Rd). Mat will be joined by special guest Emilea May.
